Maritza Tschepp
Maritza Tscheppgrew up in Oamaru, and studied fashion design at Wellington Polytechnic in the early-mid 1970s. She is represented in the Eden Hore collection with her winning entry in the 1977 Benson and Hedges Fashion Awards - Vision of an eccentric angel won both the Gown of the Year and the Supreme award – and three Highly Commended garments from the in women’s daywear and young designer categories. She was only 20 at the time.
She designed under the Maritza Tschepp, Bosphora, Kasphara and Tuptins labels.
Maritza Tschepp moved to the UK where she still lives and works as a housing campaigner, teacher, and maker.
